Armed bandits stormed an ECWA church in Kogi State, killing one person and kidnapping several worshipers during a morning service on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Eyewitnesses reported that the gunmen arrived at the church in the early hours of the morning and began shooting indiscriminately, causing panic among parishioners. Some worshipers managed to escape, while others were captured by the attackers.
Security personnel and local surveillance groups have been deployed to track down the attackers and rescue kidnapped worshipers. Authorities have called for calm and urged residents to report any information that could help arrest criminals.
