The Nigerian Senate has suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for six months following her sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The decision came on Thursday, March 6, 2024, after the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions reviewed the case and recommended her suspension.

As part of the suspension, Akpoti-Uduaghan will lose her salary, security details, and access to the National Assembly premises for the entire duration.
