President Bola Tinubu has declared that he will not be intimidated by opposition figures, insisting he remains focused on solving Nigeria’s challenges.
Tinubu made the statement during a meeting with leaders and coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the State House in Abuja.
The political support group was led by Hope Uzodimma, who also serves as Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
According to the President, attempts by critics and rival political groups to pressure him will fail because he has already faced tougher political battles in the past.
Tinubu said the road to victory during both the APC presidential primaries and the 2023 general election prepared him for the pressures of leadership.
He assured supporters that he would not abandon his responsibilities or step back from governance.
The President also stressed the need for democracy, respect for lawful court orders, and cooperation among the arms of government.
He said Nigeria must remain united under a common vision of growth, stability, and prosperity for all citizens.
Tinubu urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stay united and continue supporting the administration’s development agenda.
He also took a swipe at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, criticising past privatisation exercises and questioning their long-term results.
Tinubu referenced the steel industry in Delta State and Ajaokuta Steel Company, claiming previous privatisation policies did not deliver expected outcomes.
The President reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling promises made to Nigerians and improving living conditions across the country.
He added that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors have been mobilised to strengthen grassroots support for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The statement comes amid increasing political debates and early alignments ahead of the next presidential race.
