President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to ongoing economic reforms, declaring that criticism from opposition groups will not force him to change course.
Speaking in Abuja during a meeting with members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Tinubu said his administration remains focused on rebuilding the economy, expanding opportunities, and improving the lives of Nigerians.
The President stated that many of the structures that previously limited growth and prosperity are being replaced through reforms designed to encourage broader participation in the economy.
According to him, difficult but necessary decisions were taken to place Nigeria on a stronger path for long-term progress.
Tinubu insisted that political pressure and attacks from opponents would not distract him from governance.
He said he had faced similar challenges throughout his political journey and remains prepared to continue pushing forward.
The President also promised not to abandon his responsibilities, assuring supporters that he would stay committed to national development.
Tinubu urged citizens to ignore misinformation and support policies aimed at reducing poverty, creating jobs, and strengthening infrastructure across the country.
He further stressed the importance of democracy, rule of law, and respect for institutions, saying Nigeria must remain united under one shared vision.
The meeting was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda, governors, former governors, and party leaders.
Hope Uzodimma, who leads the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, said the support structure has become active nationwide and is already mobilising grassroots backing for the administration.
Tinubu concluded by assuring Nigerians that his government would continue to pursue reforms he believes are necessary for future prosperity.
The remarks come amid increasing political positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections.
